A network for newsroom trainers

My first big interview: It was 1977 and I was 16, a high school student in Cleveland interested in newspaper work. I got to the closest j-school for a summer workshop on reporting and writing. The closest j-school was at Kent State. We got word one afternoon that, while we were there, survivors of the shootings would be back for another protest. I read up on who was most active among them. When I spotted a wheelchair folded near a tree, I knew I'd found Dean Kahler.
